Hey beauts, if you know me then you will know I love the theatre! I also love thrillers & murder mysteries so when The Belgrade kindly invited me to their press night of The Mousetrap by the queen of crime herself Agatha Christie, I knew I had to go!
The Mousetrap is the longest running show in the world! It first showed in London’s West End in 1952 how amazing that it has been running for all this time!
I took my girl Isobel and we had the best evening. We both commented on how nice it is to do something a little different mind week.
The show, from the very start, had us gripped. Although the set didn’t change it was detailed and fitted perfectly. Set back in time the characters all had fabulous accents and costumes very fitting to the era. Each character had its own unique quirky personality which I loved. Our favourite character was Christopher Wren, He was hilarious! I loved everything about him, from his humour and the way he behaved. Just ace! The actor that played him did an amazing job!
The play had us guessing from the start, who could the murderer be? I think our guesses changed at least 3 times!
It had us literally on the edge of our seat with so many shock twists!
I loved it!
Defiantly get down to see it, one of the best plays I have seen in a long time! I’m so glad I can at that to my list of Places I have had the pleasure in seeing!
Had such a lovely evening, a huge thank you to the Belgrade in Coventry who really does show some amazing shows. We are super lucky to have it on our doorstep!
Do you like a good murder Mystery?
