If you know me then you will know how much I love musicals, singing, dancing and acting was my thing back when I was a teenager… although I wasn’t a huge fan of acting I loved taking part and choreographing the musical numbers for my school performances!
I’ve always been a lover of the theatre, there’s something about seeing live people singing, dancing and telling a story, it takes me out of reality and into another world. Time stands still when you’re in the theatre and its such a good feeling.
“WHAT A FEELING”
When I was invited to the press night of Flashdance the Musical at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, I was so super chuffed and excited, I love the film so to see it performed on stage I could only imagine it will be just as good!
The buzz you feel when the curtains come up and the opening song is played I can never describe its such an exciting thing to experience and those who have been to a theatre show will know just what I mean.
Flashdance the Musical is touring the country and stars to well-known names! Joanne Clifton – Strictly Champion as Alex Owens and Ben Adams – A1 singer as Nick Hurley.
The show was exciting and captivating from start to finish, it had some amazing songs and dance numbers that had the whole crowd clapping and dancing along to. The performers were truly incredible and I loved it even more than the film!
The Belgrade was the perfect venue to hold the show, it was such a lovely environment and atmosphere to be in! I can’t wait to see some more shows there soon!
Have you seen the new headliner “Well live and die in these towns” musically directed by Tom Clark….. from Coventry’s very own “The enemy” keep an eye out for the Christmas shows too!
Huge thank you to the Belgrade for having me!
